“12 Things I Wish I Knew at 25”

In pondering the significance of his 50th birthday, Reverend James Martin, Jesuit author and Culture Editor of America magazine, published a wonderful article entitled “12 Things I Wish I Knew at 25; Spiritual Learnings on my 50th Birthday.”  In it, the Reverend describes twelve articles of wisdom that he claims “would have made life a lot easier [had I put them in action].”

While all twelve listed ‘things’ prove solid pieces of advice, mycatholicblog particularly likes #6: Within you is the idea of your best self. Act as if you were that person and you will become that person, with God’s grace.

The other eleven pieces of advice can be found here at the Huffington Post website, where this article was originally published.

Happy (belated) Birthday Reverend, and thanks for sharing!
