Parenting Threats: Alternative Ways to Gain Your Child’s Cooperation

It can sometimes be really difficult to get your children to follow the rules. Kids will be kids and sometimes they aren’t interested in doing what may be right, or simply doing what you tell them to do. Many parents find the only way to get their children to comply with their wishes is to threaten them. Although this typically works, it might not be the best way to parent your children.

Authentic Parenting recently had a post titled “Five Real Alternatives to Threats” that I think could help parents a lot.
