I’d like to share with you this very inspiring post I read this morning: “Is Being a Mom Really THAT Important?” If you are a stay at home Mom who needs a little bit of encouragement, this post is perfect for you. Stay at home moms are valuable to their families, this post echoes that sentiment.
Living in a productivity-driven world, it can be hard for stay at home mothers to feel significant–to feel proud of what we are doing. Although our job entails as much dedication, effort, and skill as most jobs out there, many people are just not able to appreciate what we do referring to us as being “JUST” stay at home moms.
I could not understand how anybody could belittle such an exhausting, sincere, and financially uncompensated undertaking. If the world is making you feel unimportant, look at everything that you do, and see just how much greatness you have done.
As Rose Kennedy said, “I looked on child rearing not only as a work of love and duty but as a profession that demanded the best that I could bring to it.” Like Rose, I have found that indeed motherhood is a profession, and it certainly deserves the best I can bring to it. Stay at home moms are valuable and you shouldn’t forget that!
