This story from Fox59 clearly disturbed me and I felt the need to share it with all of you because of how terrible a deed this is. People never cease to amaze me, and this has taken it to an all new level. Who messes with anything in a cemetery? Honestly, that is a place for people to remember their loved ones and in most cases that memorial is all they have left of somebody who they care very much about. Hopefully the state of Ohio finds a way to catch the vandals who performed this horrible act and teach them a lesson.
“A cemetery manager says vandals have caused an estimated $250,000 in damage in three incidents over six weeks at a Cincinnati cemetery that includes the graves of several of the city’s first Roman Catholic bishops.
Police say the most recent act of vandalism at the 157-year-old St. Joseph New Cemetery occurred between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday. General manager Rob Winter says vandals caused over $100,000 damage Sunday, tipping over more than 30 monuments in an older Irish section and damaging about a half dozen in a newer section.” – “Police : Vandals Cause $250,000 Damage to Ohio Cemetery Where Roman Catholic Bishops Buried”, Fox59
